In homage ups, SG3525 is a pulse width modulator used in booster sections in homage-ups and other inverter brands. I will try to explain the function of the booster section in inverters. lm358 ic is a dual-operational amplifier that works also as a voltage comparator with a reference of the common voltage supply. the comparator has two – and two + inputs and two outputs to control any required function. let’s see how it works, one input of ic ha fixed voltages, and the other input will vary according to the input when the – pin has more voltage than the + pin, the output will be 0 and when the – pin has the lower voltage then + pin then the output will be high or1.this is simple function of lm 358 ic.
