homage ups power supply is the most important section in ups repairing. uc 3843 IC is used in the p.s section and also in the charging section of any inverter/ups. power supply section consists of an IC, a chopper transformer, Nchanel MOSFET, and some resistors of low ohm and 2 or 3 watts. If your ups power supply is faulty then ups will remain to turn OFF.
how to trace homage ups power supply?
when our ups/inverter is not turning ON then the suspected area is the power supply. we start tracing from low-value resistors like 2.2ohm,.22ohm,220ohm, etc. We also check MOSFET and IC and related SMD components. In some cases, ups will not turn ON due to a shortage in the output of the power supply section in this situation our P.S. will be ok and we need to trace the shortage in the power supply voltages like 12v, and 5volt. For example, if any IC’s VCC pins are showing a low value of resistance or shortage then we will troubleshoot by pulling out all ICs from the circuit one by one.
